KeywordInsights.ai: Visualized and Adjustable Clustering
KeywordInsights.ai is one of the best keyword clustering tools that helps you visualize the keyword groups based on search volume and common URLs ranking on the first page. One key feature of the tool is that you can set the keyword grouping accuracy by a specific number of URLs in the SERP.
This means if you want to group keywords that have at least five common URLs, you can do this by setting the accuracy number. This is great for increasing accuracy as the higher the common URLs, the more topically related the topics are.
The best part is you can export the entire data set to Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel to add additional filters and skip irrelevant keywords from the list, if any.

SEMrush: Comprehensive Database for Robust Capabilities
As an SEO strategist, one of my favorite keyword-clustering tools is SEMrush. SEMrush offers robust keyword-clustering capabilities that help identify keyword groups and themes based on relevance and similarity.
What sets SEMrush apart is its comprehensive database and advanced algorithms. It provides a wide range of keyword suggestions, related terms, and long-tail variations, enabling thorough clustering analysis. The tool also offers features like keyword-difficulty analysis, search-volume data, and competitive insights.
By using SEMrush’s keyword-clustering feature, I can effectively organize and group keywords, optimize content strategies, and identify content gaps. This helps improve keyword targeting, content relevance, and overall SEO performance.

Content Curator: Detail-Oriented Keyword Clustering
The Content Curator’s Keyword Clustering tool is relatively new, yet the level of experience within keyword clustering and attention to detail is clear from the output.
The tool excels at breaking down the relationships between keywords, including the filtering of duplicates and synonyms, and the grouping of keywords with high SERP similarity.
Users can adjust the settings to their preference, and the tool offers a simple export, along with exceptional support. The tool is recommended for any SEO professional. The developer offers the first 500 keywords free for every report, which helps save on credits.

AnswerThePublic: Visualizing Search Queries
AnswerThePublic is a favorite keyword-clustering tool because it visually represents search queries as a web of related words, providing a unique perspective on keyword clustering.
By understanding user intent through this visual representation, businesses can create highly targeted content that addresses specific needs. For example, if a business in the fitness industry wants to optimize its content for workout routines, AnswerThePublic can cluster related queries like “best home workout routines,” “cardio workout plans,” and “strength training exercises” visually intuitively.
This allows them to identify the exact needs and concerns of their target audience, enabling them to craft interesting content that resonates with their users’ desired outcomes.

NeuronWriter: AI-Driven Keyword Clustering

Countwordsfree.com: Simple Keyword Analysis
A super-quick way to understand a list of keywords, and build keyword clusters, is to run a word count and phrase count on keywords exported from Google Search Console. A lot of SEO audits are done at WPSpeedFix.com, and this is a very simple way to understand search intent for a site with minor work.
Typically, the list of keywords from Search Console is exported and run through a tool like countwordsfree.com, and then that data is imported back into a Google Sheet for analysis.
Often, this technique will surface opportunities for buying searches that hide in the long tail, e.g., searches for “price” or “how to” searches that otherwise would be missed due to low volume.

Surfer SEO: Categorizing LSIs into Clusters
Surfer SEO categorizes LSIs into clusters, so it’s my favorite tool for filling out my topical map. Sometimes the clusters are a little far afield of my target keyword, but even when that happens, it’s not all bad because it expands my thinking on the topic. I don’t know of other tools that start with defining topical authority as the goal.

SE Ranking: Insight-Driven Keyword Clustering
One of my favorite keyword-clustering tools is SE Ranking, because of its unique, insight-driven approach. What sets SE Ranking apart is its ability to group keywords into clusters and provide valuable insights into user intent and behavior.
By analyzing the semantic relationships between keywords, SE Ranking helps me uncover hidden patterns and untapped opportunities. Its advanced algorithms go beyond primary clustering, allowing me to understand the underlying context behind keyword searches and tailor my SEO strategies accordingly.
The tool’s intuitive interface and detailed reporting make it easy to visualize and interpret the clustering results, empowering me to make data-driven decisions. With SE Ranking, I get comprehensive clustering capabilities and gain a deeper understanding of my target audience, giving me a competitive edge in the ever-evolving world of SEO.
